On Tuesday, 16 April 2024, Democratic Alliance (DA) Federal Leader, John Steenhuisen, will be bringing his Rescue South Africa Tour to Cape Town where the party will also launch its ‘Rescue South Africa’ campaign anthem.
The anthem will represent the deep emotional connection of the DA to the historic Rescue Mission being undertaken in this election. The anthem is composed and sung by South African music legend and Idols star, Lloyd Cele.
Cele will perform live at the event.
Steenhuisen’s Rescue South Africa Tour launched in Tshwane earlier this week, moves through all eight of South Africa’s metropolitan hubs.
The Rescue South Africa Tour is now the DA’s biggest campaign tour ever, engaging voters across the country.
Steenhuisen will be joined on Tuesday by DA Western Cape Premier Candidate Alan Winde, DA Mayor of Cape Town Geordin Hill-Lewis, and DA Western Cape Leader Tertuis Simmers.
