The shocking killing took place as she was shot in the head by a gunman in broad daylight.
It is suspected that she was the alleged whistleblower for the corrupt R16 million fleet procurement fraud in Emfuleni, in which the DA laid charges after millions had been lost.
We demand justice in this case of senseless bloodshed.
We condemn this barbaric act and we welcome the intervention of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) who is investigating the case.
The DA is also calling for swift action to be taken by law enforcement to resolve this matter urgently.
We are reassured by the escalation of this crime through the appropriate channels.
The DA stands against violence and crime and will continue to fight for the safety of all.
