The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng congratulates the Matric Class of 2025 on their achievements in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. These results reflect the commitment, discipline, and perseverance of learners who worked tirelessly throughout the year.
We also commend educators, school management teams, and parents who played a vital role in supporting learners through this demanding academic period. Their dedication remains central to improving learner outcomes across the province.
We welcome Minister Siviwe Gwarube’s continued emphasis on strengthening the foundations of learning and ensuring that our learners are adequately prepared for further education and employment opportunities.
While we celebrate these successes, we remain mindful of learners who did not achieve the results they had hoped for. To those facing disappointment, this is not the end of your journey. The Second Chance Matric Programme offers an opportunity to improve your results and continue pursuing your goals. We encourage parents and guardians to provide continued support during this period.
We extend a special congratulations to schools in Quintiles 1 to 3 that have performed exceptionally well. These non-fee-paying schools continue to defy the odds, delivering strong results despite limited resources. Their achievements are a powerful reminder of what is possible when learners are supported, and school leadership is effective.
The DA remains committed to advocating for quality education, safe learning environments, and accountable leadership in Gauteng.
Congratulations to the Matric Class of 2025 – your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
