Tomorrow, 7 November 2024, the Democratic Alliance (DA) will conduct a series of oversights to three retirement homes in Johannesburg.

These retirement homes are plagued by a host of issues including, illegal invasions, rampant neglect, serious safety violations, and constant water and electricity outages. There is deeply problematic tendency to neglect the elderly and vulnerable, we will not stand by and allow those amongst us who need help most, to be forgotten.

The oversight will be conducted by the DA Spokesperson on Social Development, Bridget Masango MP, DA Shadow MMC for Health and Social Development, Cllr Beverley Jacobs, and DA Johannesburg Caucus Leader, Cllr Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku.
