The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng wishes all Grade 12 learners the best of luck as final matric examinations commence today.

The examinations will conclude at the end of November 2024. The DA encourages parents and communities to provide essential support to help learners prepare effectively.

We also urge learners to focus on their studies, maintain discipline, have patience, and resist the temptation to cheat. The DA is encouraging all learners who feel overwhelmed or are struggling during this period to reach out to family and friends for support. Your mental health is equally as important as your academic success. Parents are also encouraged to support their children during this extremely stressful time.

The Gauteng Department of Education must ensure that all examination centres are well-prepared and secure and that necessary measures are in place to prevent any disruption or examination paper leaks.

The DA will actively monitor the examination process through oversight inspections at various examination centres.

Class of 2024, we believe in you. Let your hard work shine.
