Tomorrow, 6 May 2026, the Democratic Alliance (DA) will conduct an oversight visit of the 30 toilet structures that the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements and the Emfuleni Local Municipality controversially erected in 2024. Each costing R815 000, with a total expenditure of over R24 000 000.
DA Emfuleni Mayoral Candidate, Kingsol Chabalala MPL, will address the media on-site as he outlines concerns regarding the project’s cost, procurement processes, and the broader implications for governance in Emfuleni.
