Today, the Democratic Alliance (DA) announced Kingsol Chabalala MPL as our DA Emfuleni Mayoral Candidate.
An Emfuleni-man at heart, Kingsol signifies everything we believe can work about this municipality. Born here, raised here, and schooled here. Kingsol has always fought for, and worked to fix Emfuleni.
He has been championing the plight of this broken municipality’s people in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature for years. This has gone so far that Kingsol has survived an attempt on his life due to the issues he was bringing to the fore with his legislative work. All for Emfuleni.
To quote Gauteng’s premier, Panyaza Lesufi, “even ourselves, we have run out of ideas to salvage that municipality” – that could not be further from the truth for the DA’s candidate.
While other complain, he acts. He delivers. He has a plan to make life better for Emfuleni’s people.
We believe that Kingsol will be able to lead the DA to a decisive victory in the upcoming local government election in Emfuleni, and once elected to office, we know that he will bring the DA’s signature of good, clean and effective governance to a municipality that currently struggles from crisis to crisis.
