DA oversight visit to assess growing housing pressures affecting Gauteng communities

On Thursday, 22 January 2026, the Democratic Alliance (DA) will conduct an oversight visit to assess growing housing pressures affecting communities across Gauteng, where rapid settlement growth is placing strain on land, infrastructure, and basic services.

The oversight will be led by the DA Spokespersons on Human Settlements, Luyolo Mphithi MP and Conrad Poole MP, DA Gauteng Shadow MEC of Human Settlements, Mervyn Cirota MPL, and DA Councillors Faeaza Chame, Rashieda Landis, and Michael Chriton.
