DA to picket outside Lesufi’s office demanding accountability and recovery of stolen Tembisa billions

On Thursday, 20 November 2025, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng will hold a picket outside Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s office to demand criminal charges against all those implicated in the looting at Tembisa Hospital, regardless of their high positions or political connections.

The DA will also be demanding a speedy process to sell off the seized assets, so money is directly returned to assist hospital patients.

The DA picket will be led by the DA Gauteng Shadow Health MEC, Dr Jack Bloom MPL, who will hand over a memorandum with the party’s demands. He will be accompanied by:

  • DA Constituency Head – Tembisa South, Refiloe Ntšekhe MPL.
  • DA Constituency Head- Tembisa North, Khathutshelo Rasilingwane MPL.

Media are invited and there will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
