The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng has decided to not support any of the budgets tabled by the Gauteng Provincial Government this week in the Provincial Legislature.

One of the key reasons the DA is not supporting the budget is because of lack of spending on the parts of departments when it comes to grants from national government.

This is particularly prevalent in the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID), the Gauteng Department of Roads and Logistics as well as the Gauteng Department of Social Development.

The DA has also put forward a number of solutions to rescue Gauteng from problems of service delivery in the province.

Gauteng residents deserve a government that is truly committed to ensuring that there is value for the money spent on service providers and that the pace of service delivery is increased.
