Tomorrow, 19 July 2024 , the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Tshwane will host a press conference where we will respond to threats made by the African National Congress (ANC) to bring a motion of no confidence (MONC) in Mayor Cilliers Brink.
This will be the first MONC ever brought against Mayor Brink. We have reason to believe that the MONC is motivated by the private business interests of ANC leaders, as the City has been clamping down on the deep rooted networks of corruption that have undermined service delivery for far too long.
The press conference will be led by Cllr Kwena Moloto, DA Tshwane Caucus Spokesperson, and Member of the Mayoral Committee for Finances, Cllr Jacqui Uys.
Members of the media are hereby invited to attend the event. Opportunities for interviews and photographs will be available.
