The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng is excited to announce the Ward 2 candidate, Quentin Meyer, for the upcoming by-election in the City of Tshwane.
The election will be on 24 April 2024 and voting stations will be open from 7:00 – 21:00. The ward consists of areas such as Wolmer, Flaurana, Pretoria North and Dorandia.
Meyer is well-known in the community, an activist and former member of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Afriforum branches in the areas. He is an entrepreneur and has stayed in the community all his life.
Meyer is the type of person who is meant to lead, without being asked he has started community initiatives and brought ordinary community members together to actively work towards their own upliftment.
We believe that his passion, dedication and can-do attitude is exactly what is needed for the community as a ward councillor and that he will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the ward has a voice in the council.
The City of Tshwane, led by Mayor Cilliers Brink has made progress in the face of profound challenge, and is on an upward trajectory. We aim to provide the much-needed services the residents deserve, to do that strong ward councillors are needed to represent their communities in addressing service delivery issues and doing the required oversight.
The DA in Gauteng North would like to encourage all voters in Ward 2 to diarise this date and come out to vote for Meyer to ensure that this ward remains in safe and capable hands.
