Tomorrow, Thursday, 23 November 2023, the DA Gauteng Premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga MPL, will conduct oversight inspections at De Deur Primary School ,De Deur and Vaal Police Stations.
A learner from De Deur Primary school was recently shot due to gang violence.
The DA will assess the state of the infrastructure and the availability of resources to ensure that these police stations are adequately equipped to prevent and fight crime.
During these oversight inspections, we will also engage with the Community Policing Forums (CPF) to ascertain the challenges they are faced with when executing their duties.
The recent crime statistics indicate an increase in crimes like carjacking, home robberies, and robberies at non-residential properties. These engagements will assist in finding tangible solutions to curb crime and ensure residents safety.
