On Monday, 23rd of January, the Democratic Alliance (DA) Shadow MEC for Finance, Adriana Randall MPL and Spokesperson for Finance, Patrick Atkinson MPL, will conduct an oversight inspection at the Lindley Waste Water Project in Lanseria.
The purpose of the oversight is to assess if the R8 050 000 000 projects were completed and how it is functioning during this load-shedding period.
It has been ten years since the Gauteng Infrastructure Finance Agency (GIFA) began projects like Lindley to revitalize the economy, and some of them have several discrepancies related to them.
With the current load-shedding crises crippling the country’s economy, it is crucial for us to know how the Lindley water supply line is functioning.
The DA will probe if the project genuinely exists and, if so, what progress has been made with the project and how the current load-shedding crisis is affecting the reservoir.
