The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng is delighted to learn that a mobile clinic has been made available for the Adelaide Tambo clinic in Pyramid, Pretoria.

This comes after the DA conducted an oversight visit to the Adelaide Tambo clinic recently.

For a long time, the community that receives basic health services from this clinic and do not stay close to the clinic had to travel far distances to receive treatment.

This has had a negative impact on the community, especially the elderly who would not be able to travel these long distances.

In addition, to ensure that this mobile clinic is once again made available, the DA has also submitted questions regarding the reasons as to why the mobile clinic was not in working condition and if the staff who work in the mobile unit are safe in the areas, they work in.

While the license disk of this unit must still be renewed, the DA is confident that this will be resolved soon, and members of the community will no longer have to forego access to basic health services.

This development is proof that the DA is committed to putting its constituents first and will always ensure that everyone has access to the basic services they rightfully deserve.
